Founding Organizations

During a time of increasing hospital competition, the founding organizations had a vision to address community health concerns outside of clinic space. The ICH was created to provide a resource for research excellence, technical assistance, and surveillance of health topics important to the communities we serve. These founding organizations continue to guide ICH's activities through membership on the Board of Directors.

Mt. Auburn Hospital
Founded in 1995, Mt. Auburn Hospital is a not-for-profit network of health care providers serving residents of Eastern Massachusetts. Based in Boston, Mt. Auburn Hospital offers it patients access to academic health centers, community hospitals, physician groups, and community health centers. Its hospitals—which include Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Mount Auburn Hospital—are affiliated with Harvard Medical School and Tufts School of Medicine.

Partners HealthCare Systems, Inc.
Partners HealthCare is a not-for-profit health care network based in Boston. It was founded in 1994 by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, two teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School that are internationally recognized for their patient care, teaching, and research. In addition to its two founding academic medical centers, Partners HealthCare includes community and specialty hospitals, primary and specialty physicians, and community health centers in Eastern Massachusetts.
