Elisa Friedman, M.S., is Director of Evaluation at the Institute for Community Health. Her areas of interest and expertise include program evaluation planning and implementation, logic model development, instrument design, facilitation of participatory evaluation and qualitative research. Ms. Friedman’s research and evaluation experience has focused on a number of areas including HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy prevention, interpreter services, computer-based patient education and health care access. Her evaluation approach makes use of both qualitative and quantitative methods and involves stakeholders as integral, active partners in the evaluation process. Ms. Friedman’s past and present work ranges from outcome evaluations of community-based programs to clinic-based pilot studies. Ms. Friedman is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and has worked in Mozambique, Angola, Brazil, El Salvador and Honduras. She received a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.S. from the Harvard School of Public Health. Return to About Us: Staff |
